Structural, magnetic, and optical properties of ZnFe2O4/RO (RO = CdO, NiO, Ga2O3, SnO2, and TiO2) nanocomposites

Abstract The sol–gel method is used to prepare the nanocomposites ZF/RO (ZF = ZnFe 2 O 4 , RO CdO, NiO, Ga 3 SnO and TiO ). XRD showed that nanocomposite' crystal structure contained many phases, lattice properties size of ZF were affected by presence traces. All samples have surfaces resemble nanoflakes vary in based on SEM pictures; however, ZF/Cd sample has a nanotube microstructure. ESR VSM measured at room temperature ferrimagnetic behavior for all samples. optical band gaps ZF, ZF/Cd, ZF/Ga, ZF/Ni, ZF/Sn, ZF/Ti 1.773, 1.789, 1.786, 1.763, 1.822, 1.835 eV, respectively. spectral PL intensity partially low compared spectrum vice versa ZF/Ni which show an increase recombination e − /h + . nanocomposites' practical sunlight consumption ability photoinduced charge carriers account their photocatalytic efficacy. This study part research project investigating relationship between two compounds with different structures properties.
